Altars of Rebellion is a Symphonic Black Metal band from Colombia formed in 1999. Their musical traits involve aggressive drumming, fast guitar riffs, and deep and piercing voice, along with keyboard arrangements which have been a staple from the beginning of their career.
The band’s lyrics have evolved from their two first albums “Fuerzas Ocultas” (1999) and “Infernal Paradise” (2002) covering topics such as occultism, paganism, and anti-Christianity, to more humanistic perspectives such as self-searching on “The Dominant Material Origin” (2011).
“Capital Phase of Karma”, the latest release, is enriched with collaborations with talented musicians like the drummers Marco Píturzzella (Six Feet Under, ex-Vital Remains, ex-The Faceless, ex-Brain Drill), Mauro Mazuera (Absolution Denied, Goretrade) and guitarist Luis Battillana (Blasphemer).
The artwork for the 8 tracks album is an interpretation of the seven capital sins and each track has its own illustration.
